Notes

Justin Thomas won for the 11th time on the PGA TOUR, winning THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES by two shots over Danny Lee. Thomas earned his second victory at the event and fourth in Asia since the start of the 2015-16 season (2015 CIMB Classic, 2016 CIMB Classic, 2017 THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES, 2019 THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES).

Justin Thomas became the fifth player to win 11 times before turning 27, joining Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth.

Tied for the lead with Danny Lee entering the final round, Justin Thomas converted the 54-hole lead/co-lead to victory for the eighth time in his 11th attempt. The result represented his fourth straight top-five on the PGA TOUR, reaching that mark for the first time in his career.

Justin Thomas made 27 birdies, most in the field, and played the par-4s in 13-under, five shots better than anyone else in the field.

Danny Lee finished second, earning the fourth runner-up of his career. Lee was tied for the lead with eventual champion Justin Thomas after 54 holes, holding at least a share of the third-round lead for the second time in his career (fell to 0-for-2).

Viktor Hovland became the first player on the PGA TOUR (since 1983) to record a streak of at least 18 rounds in the 60s with a first-round 69, breaking Bob Estes’ 2001 record of 17. The streak, which began in the final round of the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic (64), reached 19 before a third-round 74.

Hideki Matsuyama, Cameron Smith and Gary Woodland, who would all go on to participate in the 2019 Presidents Cup, finished T3 at 15-under 273.

Byeong Hun An (T6) had the best finish of the 16 South Korean players in the field.

Defending champion Brooks Koepka withdrew prior to the start of the third round with a knee injury.

After a restructure in the PGA TOUR schedule, THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES moved to lead the three official events in Asia. It was followed by the inaugural ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP and the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions.
