Notes

Joaquin Niemann birdied the final three holes at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier – including a 21-foot, 10-inch putt on the 72nd hole – to post a final-round 6-under 64 and become the first player from Chile to win on the PGA TOUR. Niemann won by six strokes in his 44th start at the age of 20 years, 312 days.

Joaquin Niemann (20) became the third player born outside the United States to win on the PGA TOUR before turning 21 since 1925, joining Seve Ballesteros and Rory McIlroy. He joined Stuart Appleby, Jonas Blixt, Angel Cabrera and Danny Lee as international winners of the event.

With birdies on the last three holes, Joaquin Niemann recorded a final-round 64, closing with a 64 for the third consecutive year at the event. His second-round 62 was his first career sub-63 on the PGA TOUR.

Joaquin Niemann shared the second-round lead and led by two strokes going into the final round, becoming the first player in tournament history to win the title after holding a lead/co-lead after any round.

Kevin Chappell became the 10th player in PGA TOUR history (11th instance) with a sub-60 round, shooting a second-round 59 at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier before finishing T47. He became the second player to record a birdie streak of at least nine, making nine consecutive birdies on holes 11-1 (first: Mark Calcavecchia/9). Chappell was making his first start since the 2018 Mayakoba Golf Classic as he recovered from back surgery.

The Old White TPC, site of Stuart Appleby’s 59 in 2010, became the first course on TOUR to host multiple sub-60 scores.

Tom Hoge finished solo-second and six strokes behind champion Joaquin Niemann. It marked his 11th career top-10 and first runner-up on TOUR. Hoge recorded four rounds in the 60s in a stroke-play event for the second time and first since the 2018 Wyndham Championship.

With a final-round 6-under 64, Viktor Hovland (T10) notched his 17th consecutive round in the 60s, becoming the second player on record (since 1983) to reach that mark on TOUR (first: Bob Estes/17).

Kevin Na finished T14 in his title defense. He celebrated his 36th birthday with a final-round 2-under 68 while attempting to become the event’s first multiple winner.
