2021-22 Season Highlights


Earned his first PGA TOUR card with a No. 2 finish on the season-long Korn Ferry Tour Eligibility Points List. Stood No. 1 in the points race at the conclusion of the 23-event regular season, but was overtaken by Justin Suh across the three-event Korn Ferry Tour Finals. Recorded a trio of top-three finishes in the first five events of the season, punctuated by a victory at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by MISTRAS. Along with Ben Griffin, led the Tour with three runner-up finishes, which came at The Panama Championship, Visit Knoxville Open, and The Ascendant presented by Blue. Recorded nine top-10s, tied for the second-highest total on Tour, and finished fourth in scoring average (68.90) and eighth in greens in regulation percentage (73.95 percent).

The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay - One of two players in the field to break par in all four rounds, posted scores of 71-70-66-71 en route to a 10-under 278 and T3 at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay, his first Korn Ferry Tour start since the Wichita Open Benefitting KU Wichita Pediatrics in June 2021. The Panama Championship - Recorded his second top-three of the season and fourth runner-up finish of the last two seasons as he totaled a 7-under 273, highlighted by a first-round 5-under 65 and birdies on three of the final four holes of regulation, as he finished T2 at The Panama Championship. Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by MISTRAS - Earned his first career victory on the Korn Ferry Tour, defeating Peter Uihlein with a 12-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole, the par-4 18th, at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by MISTRAS. Shot a 6-under 65 in the final round, highlighted by a streak of four consecutive birdies from Nos. 7-10 and his final birdie of regulation at the par-4 15th. His maiden victory on the Korn Ferry Tour came after four runner-up finishes from August 2020 through March 2022. Club Car Championship at The Landings Club - An opening-round 8-under 64 earned him a share of the 18-hole lead, but he sandwiched a 7-under 65 between over-par second and fourth rounds en route to a 12-under 276 and T7 finish at the Club Car Championship at The Landings Club. Visit Knoxville Open - Shot a career-low 8-under 62 in the third round and moved within one stroke of the 54-hole leader. Held a two-stroke lead through 13 holes of the final round, but made back-to-back bogeys as his playing partner and eventual champion, Anders Albertson, made back-to-back birdies for a four-shot swing at Nos. 14 and 15. Birdied Nos. 16 and 18 but ultimately finished one stroke behind the winner with a 19-under 261 for solo second at the Visit Knoxville Open. REX Hospital Open - Made the cut on the number but played the weekend in 9-under par, including a 7-under 64 in the third round, totaled a 12-under 272 and rose to a T7 finish at the REX Hospital Open. The Ascendant presented by Blue - Carded the low round of the tournament with an 8-under 64 in the third round as he totaled 16-under 272 for solo-second at The Ascendant presented by Blue. Birdied five of the first six holes on the back nine of the final round, but bogeyed the 72nd hole and finished one stroke behind the champion, countryman Zecheng Dou. Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Aetna - Strengthened his grip on the No. 1 spot on the Regular Season Points List with a T5 in the regular season finale, which was highlighted by a 9-under 62 in the third round en route to 14-under 270 at the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Aetna. Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance - Closed the season with his seventh top-five finish but fell short of the No. 1 spot in the season-long points race, as he finished T5 at 17-under 271 at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance.
