Qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs for the fourth consecutive season and advanced to the TOUR Championship for the third straight year, finishing in a tie for No. 21 in the FedExCup standings. Failed to record a victory for the first time in his fourth season on TOUR but recorded two runner-up finishes and eight top-10s in 19 starts. Named one of six captain's picks for the United States at the 2022 Presidents Cup.

THE CJ CUP @ SUMMIT - Finished solo-second to Rory McIlroy at THE CJ CUP @ SUMMIT, his fourth career runner-up on the PGA TOUR. Carded a 10-under 62 in the final round, his first career score of 62 or better on TOUR, which included a 7-under 29 on the front nine. Did not make a bogey on his final 42 holes. The Genesis Invitational - Carded a final-round 6-under 65 at The Genesis Invitational to finish T2, his fourth consecutive top-10 and fifth career runner-up on TOUR. Led the field in Scrambling (83.33 percent) and Par-4 Scoring Average (3.77). Masters Tournament - Finished solo-fifth at the Masters Tournament, his first top-10 in three starts at the event. Carded a final-round 67, highlighted by a hole-out from the bunker on the 72nd hole, which was preceded by Rory McIlroy doing so from the same bunker in the same group. U.S. Open - Held a share of the lead after the second round of the U.S. Open before finishing T5. Marked his second career 36-hole lead/co-lead on TOUR and first in a major.
