2021-22 Season Highlights


Earned his second career PGA TOUR title and advanced to the TOUR Championship for the first time in his career, finishing in a tie for No. 15 in the FedExCup standings. Won the John Deere Classic the week after finishing T2 at the Travelers Championship, becoming the first player since Dustin Johnson in November 2020 to finish runner-up and win the following week. Opened both tournaments with a 62, becoming the first player on record (since 1983) to record a first-round score of 62 or better in consecutive TOUR events. Recorded four top-10s, collecting more than three in a season for the first time in his career, and made 15 cuts in 30 starts.

RBC Heritage - Recorded his first top-10 of the season with a T3 at the RBC Heritage. Closed with a 64, his second career final-round score of 64 or better and first since winning the 2019 Wyndham Championship (62). Travelers Championship - Carded a first-round 62 and held a share of the 18-hole lead at the Travelers Championship before finishing T2, earning his second career runner-up on TOUR. John Deere Classic - Won the John Deere Classic in wire-to-wire fashion, earning his second PGA TOUR title and first since the 2019 Wyndham Championship. Became the third wire-to-wire winner in tournament history and second on the PGA TOUR during the 2021-22 season. Qualified for The Open Championship via the Open Qualifying Series as one of the top three players not otherwise exempt. Co-led the field in Par-4 Scoring Average (3.77).
