2021-22 Season Highlights
Earned his first major championship title and first career PGA TOUR victory at the U.S. Open, becoming the first player to earn his first TOUR win in a major since Danny Willett at the 2016 Masters Tournament, and advanced to the TOUR Championship for the first time in his career, finishing in a tie for No. 15 in the FedExCup standings. Was the only player to play in the final pairing in the final round in two of the season's four majors (PGA Championship, U.S. Open). Marked his third consecutive appearance in the FedExCup Playoffs. Recorded 10 top-10s, doubling his previous-high in a single season, and made 17 cuts in 20 starts.
PGA TOURWells Fargo Championship - Finished T2 in his tournament debut at the Wells Fargo Championship, his second career runner-up on the PGA TOUR. Led the field in Scrambling (85.19 percent). PGA Championship - Played in the final pairing during the final round of the PGA Championship and carded a 73 to finish T5, his first career top-five in a major championship. Co-led the field in Par-3 Scoring Average (2.88). U.S. Open - Won the U.S. Open by one stroke over Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris, earning his first major championship title and first career win on the PGA TOUR.
