2022-23 Season Highlights

Finished No. 1 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List and graduated to the PGA TOUR for the third time in his career (previously after 2012, 2020-21 seasons). One of five players to win multiple times in 2023, with victories coming just 28 days apart at the astara Chile Classic (defeated Dimi Papadatos in playoff) and the weather-shortened HomeTown Lenders Championship (54-hole event, defeated Ben Silverman in playoff). Stood atop the points list after 20 of the 26 events throughout the season. Recorded eight top-10s – half of which were top-five finishes – and only four missed cuts in 23 starts. Finishing No. 1 on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List earned him fully exempt status for the 2024 PGA TOUR season, as well as exemptions for the 2024 PLAYERS Championship and U.S. Open.

PGA TOUR
The RSM Classic - Carded a final-round 63 en route to a career-high finish on TOUR and his second career top-10 on TOUR (T7/2013 Valspar Championship).
Korn Ferry Tour
Astara Chile Classic - Defeated Australian Dimi Papadatos with a birdie on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the 2023 astara Chile Classic at Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile, which marked his third career Korn Ferry Tour win and first since winning his first two starts on Tour in consecutive weeks in July and August 2012. Victory also marked what was the seventh-longest gap between wins in Korn Ferry Tour history (10 years, 7 months, 28 days). Began the final round two strokes off the lead, but birdied four of his first five holes and later birdied the final hole of regulation, the par-5 18th, to force a playoff. Both Papadatos and Kohles birdied the first playoff hole (No. 18), but only Kohles birdied the second playoff hole (No. 18 again). HomeTown Lenders Championship - Defeated Canadian Ben Silverman with a birdie on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the 2023 HomeTown Lenders Championship at The Ledges in Huntsville, Alabama, which marked Kohles' second victory in 28 days. Made critical par saves on the final two holes of regulation as Silverman double bogeyed the par-4 18th to fall into a playoff. Pushed the first playoff hole (No. 18) with a par, but hit an approach to 3 feet on the second playoff hole (No. 18 again) for a tournament-winning birdie. Made two bogeys for the entire tournament -- which was shortened to 54 holes due to significant fog and weather-related delays -- and made 15 birdies against zero bogeys across his final 47 holes of regulation.
