Trophy Hassan II - Finished T10 at even par (219) 74-73-72 to earn his first top-10 finish on the season. Kaulig Companies Championship - Held at least a share of the lead after each of the first three rounds before finishing T3 at the Kaulig Companies Championship. Opened with 65-68 before closing with back-to-back 70s. It was his second top-3 finish in his first 31 starts on PGA TOUR Champions. The Ally Challenge - Finished T3 at The Ally Challenge for his second top-3 in his last five starts on PGA TOUR Champions. Opened with back-to-back 67s before closing with 70. Dominion Energy Charity Classic - Birdied the the first hole of the sudden death playoff for his first career win on PGA TOUR Champions in his 41st start, besting Richard Green. Posted a bogey-free 7-under 65 in round one to take the 18-hole lead, then followed up with rounds of 71 and 69 to force the playoff.

Personal


  • Grew up in Abilene, Texas, and moved to Dallas in 1985. Was a three-time all-state player and won two state championships with Highland Park High from 1986-90.
  • Graduated from University of Texas in 1996 with a degree in Psychology and Business Foundations. Was roommates with Justin Leonard who is a lifelong friend.
  • Went to work in Dallas for a commercial real-estate firm working as an analyst for office, retail and industrial acquisitions and development, as well as golf course management and development. Also designs golf courses in Texas.
  • Enjoys spending time with friends and family.
