Personal


  • Father, Mike, has been his only swing instructor.
  • In 2015, received the ASAP Sports/Jim Murray Award that honors a player who is cooperative and accommodating to the media. The award is presented at the Golf Writers Association of America annual award dinner the week of the Masters.
  • In 2016, received the Payne Stewart Award presented annually to a professional golfer who best exemplifies Stewart's steadfast values of character, charity and sportsmanship.
  • The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation is involved with various projects throughout North Florida and supports the following charities: Operation Shower, Blessings in a Backpack, Wolfson Children's Hospital, Community PedsCare, MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation and the Monique Burr Foundation.
  • Met his wife, Tabitha, at the Memorial Tournament in Ohio in 1995. Tabitha went to Ohio State University.
  • Lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
  • Played one year of high school basketball as a sophomore.
